Alumni Board Nominations

The selection committee of the Alumni Board is seeking nominations. Six alumni will serve a four year term, commencing with their election at the 2010 Annual Meeting on May 1 in Lee Chapel.  These volunteer leaders will meet on campus twice annually, and will focus primarily on:  a) strengthening our alumni chapters; b) increasing alumni engagement, and c) being an important source of timely and accurate communications between alumni and W&L.

There are no hard and fast qualifications.  We seek talented, energetic, and diverse alumni with a willingness to serve W&L on this key volunteer board.  Please email your nominations in confidence to Mrs. Carolyn Lambert, clambert@wlu.edu, or at (540) 458-8470, by not later than February 1, 2010.  A short summary of your nominee would be appreciated, but only the name is required. Thanks for helping us identify good candidates.

• Five Star Festival, for classes 1961 and earlier: September 23-25

• Young Alumni Weekend, for classes of 2010-2000: October 8-10; stay tuned for details
